When a minibus taxi pays off
From five passengers it is a must, since a saloon car may carry only four. But even for four the larger vehicle can be worth it when there is a lot of luggage: four suitcases plus hand luggage simply will not fit in an ordinary taxi.
For the trip to the airport with the whole family, one vehicle is almost always cheaper than two. You see the price straight away when you set the number of passengers in the form to five or more.
Within town the official tariff applies
Inside the mandatory service area the official tariff of the town applies to the minibus taxi as well. For five to six and for seven to eight passengers there is a surcharge as set out in the schedule, which you can see in the tariff table on this page. The surcharge only applies if more than four people actually travel; for four it stays at the normal tariff.
Because the surcharge is tied to the number of passengers, you never pay for space you do not need. What counts in the end is the meter, and you can see the estimate for it in the booking form beforehand.
To the airport and further afield
For journeys out of Neumünster, for example to Hamburg Airport, to Kiel or to Lübeck, there is a separate fixed price for the minibus taxi. You see it as soon as you set the number of passengers in the booking form to five or more, and it is settled before you book.
For the whole family or a group, a minibus taxi is almost always cheaper than two separate taxis, and everyone sits together in one vehicle. You can book the return trip at the same time too, so the car is ready again at the agreed time.

How many suitcases fit in a minibus taxi?
With a full load of eight passengers it gets tight, and about four to five large suitcases will fit. With five or six of you, there is plenty of room for everything.
Does the minibus taxi always cost more?
Within Neumünster only if more than four people actually travel, in which case the surcharge according to the tariff applies, which you can see in the table. For fixed-price journeys there is a separate price, which you see before you book.
Do I have to order a minibus taxi separately?
