Dialysis journeys in Neumünster: a fixed schedule for your treatment
If you need dialysis, you do not travel once but usually three times a week, often for years. That calls not for a taxi service that starts from scratch every time, but for a fixed schedule. That is exactly what we build for you: fixed times, the same driver wherever possible, outward and return journeys from a single provider.
Rather call? 04321 22200, Day and night.
Fixed times, planned backwards
Dialysis starts when the chair is free, not when the taxi arrives. So we plan backwards: you tell us when treatment begins, and we set the pickup time with a buffer. The pickup itself costs nothing, even for a pre-booked journey.
Your appointments are usually fixed: the same days, the same shift. That is exactly how we enter them, as a fixed series in our schedule, not as loose one-off journeys. If something shifts, a quick call to 04321 22200 is all it takes.
One booking for the whole series
You do not have to order before every journey. You give us your treatment days and times once, by phone or via the form, and we firmly schedule every single journey. That goes for next week just as much as for the coming months.
If your treatment plan changes, we change the driving schedule with it. A week's holiday or a switch from the morning to the afternoon shift is no problem either, as long as we know in time.
The same driver wherever possible
For series journeys we assign you a regular driver wherever the roster allows. By the second week he knows your front door, your pace and the way to the treatment room. You no longer need to explain anything; it simply runs.
If your driver is ever ill or on holiday, a colleague takes over, and we pass on everything that matters: address, doorbell, how much help you need. The pickup times stay unchanged, and you can count on that.
Picked up, dropped off, picked up again
The driver rings your bell, helps you get in and stows your rollator or folding wheelchair in the boot. At the dialysis centre he walks you to the door. There is no time pressure at any point.
For the return we agree a fixed time, because the end of a dialysis session can usually be judged quite well. If it does run longer, give us a quick call and the car comes later, or we send the next available one.
After several hours of treatment many passengers are exhausted. Our drivers know that: they drive calmly, talk as much or as little as you like, and see you right to your front door.
Prescription and health insurance: settle it beforehand, then it runs smoothly
For dialysis journeys your doctor issues a prescription for patient transport, the Muster 4 form. For a course of treatment, one prescription can often cover several journeys; best ask directly at the practice or the dialysis centre.
Whether and how your health insurer covers the journeys is the insurer's own decision, and approval before the first journey is often required. Settle that before the series starts, then there are no open questions later. For approved journeys, those with statutory insurance usually pay a statutory co-payment; anyone who is exempt pays nothing.
Have the prescription to hand when you first call, then we will go through together how billing can work in your case. You always get a receipt from us, in the car or by email.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to order every dialysis journey separately?
No. You give us your treatment days and times once, and from then on we firmly schedule every outward and return journey. For changes, a call to 04321 22200 is enough.
Is it always the same driver?
Wherever the roster allows, yes. During holidays or illness a colleague takes over, and we pass on everything that matters; the pickup times stay unchanged.
Does health insurance cover journeys to dialysis?
That is your insurer's decision. The basis is a prescription from your doctor, the Muster 4 form, and approval before the first journey is often required on top. Settle this with the practice or your insurer before the series begins, then you are on the safe side.
What happens if the treatment runs longer?
Give us a quick call as soon as you can see when you will finish. The car then comes at the new time, or we send the next available one.
Do you also drive early in the morning for the first shift?
Yes, our dispatch is staffed around the clock, and pre-planned series journeys are fixed in the schedule anyway. Within Neumünster the night tariff applies from 10 pm to 6 am with a €5.60 base fare, and outside those hours the day tariff with €4.60.
Will you take my rollator?
Of course. The driver stows it in the boot and helps you get in and out. One mention at the first booking is enough, and it is planned in for every journey of the series.
