One tariff for everyone, always the same

The city of Neumünster set the tariff in its regulation on transport fares of 10 April 2025. It came into force on 1 May 2025. For journeys within the compulsory service area (Pflichtfahrgebiet) it is a fixed price in the literal sense: it may be neither exceeded nor undercut.

That also means something which surprises many people: within Neumünster there can be no discount for booking online. If you book online, you pay exactly the same as someone who hails a cab in the street. What you gain online is time and certainty, not money.

Two myths doing the rounds online

First: Saturday daytime is not night rate. The night rate applies Monday to Saturday from 10 pm to 6 am, plus all day on Sundays and public holidays. Saturday from 6 am to 10 pm is the perfectly normal day rate.

Second: bulky items cost €7.00, not €5.00. That means things like a bicycle or a surfboard. Normal luggage is always included and costs nothing extra.

Where the tariff ends

The compulsory service area covers the city of Neumünster plus journeys to and from Tasdorf, Bönebüttel, Padenstedt, Ehndorf, Wasbek, Großharrie, Rendswühren and Schillsdorf. Nothing more.

Everything beyond that, meaning Hamburg, Kiel, Lübeck, Rendsburg, Sylt and the rest, is freely negotiable. There we work with a fixed price you see before you book, and there booking online does bring a genuine price advantage.

The pickup costs nothing

The meter starts the moment you get in. The drive out to you is not charged, not even for an advance booking. Waiting time is charged at €36 per hour, from the very first minute, with no free allowance.
