When a long-distance taxi makes sense

Sometimes the train simply is not an option: the appointment is before the first connection, there is too much luggage to change trains with, or four people need to arrive together with all their suitcases in one go. Then a car takes you from your front door right to the destination address, with no platform changes and no risk of missed connections.

The unplanned journeys are part of it too: a rebooked flight from a different airport, a transfer to a clinic in another city, a broken-down car far from home. We drive when it has to happen, in the middle of the night as well.

How your journey comes together

We do not run long-distance rides spontaneously from the rank; they are arranged firmly in advance. Before departure we agree the pick-up time, route, stops and price together. After that everything is settled: no taximeter runs and nothing changes along the way.

What the journey costs depends on the route, the size of vehicle and the date. That is why we do not quote an off-the-shelf flat rate but a binding offer for your specific journey. A call to 04321 22200 is all it takes, or enter your start and destination in the form.

Comfort across four or five hours on the road

On a long journey, you set the pace. A coffee break near Bremen, stretching your legs just before Berlin: just say the word, the time for it is built in and costs you no discussion.

In the car you can work, make calls or sleep, and the driver takes his cue from you. Your luggage sits in the boot instead of a luggage rack, and at the other end you step out exactly where you want to be.

For groups of up to eight we use a large taxi. Especially on long routes, one big car for everyone together is more relaxed and usually more sensible than two separate cars.

Very long trips: with two drivers if you wish

For very long journeys, say to Copenhagen and back or an overnight run to Berlin, we can put two drivers in the car on request. That way there is always someone rested at the wheel and you arrive without long enforced breaks.

An outward and return journey on the same day is possible too: the driver waits for you at the destination, during a meeting or a celebration for instance, and brings you back afterwards. That, too, is agreed together beforehand.

For journeys to Denmark, please remember a valid passport or ID document for everyone travelling.

And the northern classics?

For the most popular destinations you do not even need to ask: our fixed prices to Hamburg, Kiel, Lübeck and Sylt are already online, including booking with the online price advantage and payment by PayPal, card, Apple Pay or Google Pay.

Anything beyond that is worth an enquiry. Since 2018 we have been on the road around the clock with more than 40 cars, and we plan a long route just as reliably as the ride to the station.

Ideally a few days ahead, so we can schedule driver and vehicle calmly. Short notice often works too, depending on the time of day even the same day. Just ask, and we will tell you honestly what is possible.

Can I take breaks along the way?

Yes, as many as you like. Breaks and stops are agreed in advance or spontaneously during the ride; they are part of the arrangement, not a surprise on the bill.

Can six or eight of us travel together?

Yes, for that we use a large taxi with up to eight seats and room for everyone's luggage. Just include the number of passengers in your enquiry.
