In every car: cash and card
All our taxis take cash and card. There is nothing to announce and nothing to ask: the card reader is on board every car, day and night.
At your destination the taximeter shows the fare; you tap your card on the reader or pay cash, and the driver gives change. A receipt comes with it on request, straight away, whether you pay cash or by card.
Why city rides are paid in the taxi
Within Neumünster, the compulsory service area (Pflichtfahrgebiet), the official tariff applies and the taximeter calculates the fare during the ride. The amount is only final at your destination, and that is exactly where you pay it. There is no prepayment for city rides: what is not yet fixed, we cannot charge in advance.
You can still estimate the fare quite well. A three-kilometre trip by day comes to around €11.50: a €4.60 base fare plus three times €2.30 per kilometre. At night and on Sundays and public holidays the base fare is €5.60.
Paying online in advance: on fixed-price trips beyond the city
For rides out of the surrounding area, say to Hamburg Airport or to Kiel, the price is fixed before you even book. That is why you can pay for those in advance: with PayPal, credit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, right in the booking form.
That is especially pleasant at four in the morning. The ride is long since paid, you step out at the terminal and simply walk on, no wallet and no working out the fare.
If you would rather pay in the car, that works on fixed-price trips too. Cash and card are always fine; online payment is an offer, not an obligation.
Tips and change
Tipping is voluntary with us, and it stays that way. If you would like to round up, simply tell the driver the amount you want to pay; that works in cash just as it does by card.
Every driver carries change. Only with very large notes does a quick word at the start of the ride help, so they can set the change aside.
Travelling on business: a monthly invoice
For companies we can settle rides on a collective monthly invoice. Your staff get in and out without paying in the car, and your accounts team receives one invoice instead of a pile of individual receipts.

Frequently asked questions
Can I pay by card in the taxi?
Yes, in every one of our cars. The card reader is always on board and you do not need to announce card payment in advance. Cash is of course fine too.
Can I pay for my ride online in advance?
On fixed-price trips outside Neumünster, yes: in the booking form with PayPal, credit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Within Neumünster the taximeter charges the official tariff and you pay at your destination in the car, in cash or by card.
Why can I not prepay a city ride?
Because the official tariff applies within Neumünster and the taximeter only works out the fare during the ride. The price is only final at your destination, so that is where it is paid.
Do I get proof of payment?
Yes, always. The driver issues a receipt right in the car, for cash and card payments alike. We can also send you one afterwards; just call 04321 22200.
Can my company travel on account?
Yes. We can settle business rides on a collective monthly invoice, so your staff pay nothing in the car. Arrange it by phone on 04321 22200.
