Luggage and bulky items: what travels in the taxi
Suitcases cost nothing with us, however many you bring. Only bulky items such as a bicycle carry a tariff charge of €7.00. Here is what fits in which car and when the large taxi is the better choice.

Normal luggage is always included
Ordinary luggage costs nothing extra in our taxis, whether it is a suitcase, a holdall or a rucksack. That applies within Neumünster just as it does on fixed-price trips, where luggage is expressly included in the price.
A saloon car takes two large suitcases plus hand luggage. The driver helps with loading and unloading; with us, that is part of the service.
A rollator or a foldable wheelchair also travels free. A brief note when booking is enough, and a car with plenty of boot space will come.
Bulky items: €7.00 under the tariff
For bulky items, the official tariff provides for €7.00 per item. That means things clearly beyond normal luggage: a bicycle, a surfboard, a large tool case.
Mention bulky items in the 'Note for the driver' field when you book. Then we send a vehicle it will actually fit into, instead of leaving the driver puzzling at your door.
Two bicycles fit in a large taxi. And if you ever need a one-way lift with your bike, say after a breakdown along the way, you are welcome to call us on the spur of the moment too.
Prams and buggies come along
A folded buggy fits in any of our taxis and travels free as normal luggage. For a large pram that will not fold down, a large taxi is the more relaxed choice.
If your child needs a car seat, we bring a suitable one along. Write the child's age in the notes field and book at least an hour ahead so the driver can load the seat.
That way a day out with child and pram is not a packing puzzle: you get in at the front, and the driver stows the rest in the back.
When the large taxi is the better choice
The limits of a saloon are reached sooner than many think: four people with four large suitcases will not fit. For the trip to the airport or the cruise terminal, the large taxi is then the right size.
A large taxi takes up to eight passengers. Fully occupied, there is still room for about four to five large suitcases; with five or six of you, there is plenty of space for everything.
Worth knowing: the large-taxi surcharge of €7.00 or €10.00 only applies within Neumünster when more than four passengers actually travel. If you take the bigger car purely for the luggage, you do not pay it.
How to list your luggage when booking
For normal luggage you need do nothing at all; we always allow for it. Only with a lot of luggage is there a trick worth knowing: set the passenger count in the booking form to five, and a large taxi with a boot to match comes automatically.
Bulky items, a large pram or a wheelchair belong in the notes field. Half a sentence is enough, something like 'one bicycle' or 'large twin pram'.

Does a rollator or wheelchair travel free?
Yes. The driver stows a rollator or foldable wheelchair in the boot at no charge. Mention it in the notes field when booking and we will send a car with enough room.
