Your pet simply rides along

You do not need a special vehicle to get around Neumünster with your pet. Pets travel in our taxis as long as you mention them briefly when booking. Use the "Note for the driver" field in the booking form, or just say so on the phone on 04321 22200.

Two rules keep the journey relaxed for everyone: dogs stay on the lead, and cats and other small animals travel in a closed carrier. That way your pet sits safely, even if we have to brake.

The heads-up matters because it lets us send the right car. For a big dog we schedule a vehicle with plenty of room, so nobody has to squeeze in on the way.

To the vet or the animal clinic

The most common reason is a vet appointment: a vaccination, a check-up, or your pet is simply not feeling well. We take you to every practice in Neumünster and to the animal clinics in the surrounding area.

For a fixed appointment we schedule the car firmly. Best book with a little buffer, then you arrive without rushing and your pet stays calmer.

We are on the road at night too. If you urgently need to get your pet to a clinic, just call; our dispatch is staffed around the clock.

Waiting or two journeys: both work

For a short appointment the driver can wait outside the practice. Waiting time is charged by the meter under the official tariff, at €36 per hour from the first minute. For a vaccination or a quick check-up that is often the most convenient option.

If the treatment takes longer, or you do not know in advance how long it will take, two separate journeys usually work out cheaper. We take you there, and as soon as you are done you give us a quick call and we send the next available car.

If the practice has given you a reliable time, you can also book the return journey firmly straight away. Then the car is already outside when you come out with your pet.

Bringing a blanket is worth it

A tip from many journeys: bring a blanket. Your dog lies more comfortably on it, and the familiar smell helps many animals stay calm during the ride.

The blanket also protects the seat from hair and paw prints. It is not a requirement, but after a rainy walk it is nicer for everyone, including the next passenger.

For cats, you can line the carrier with a familiar cloth. Place the carrier on the back seat; that is where it sits most steadily.

What the journey costs

Within Neumünster the meter charges the city's official tariff: €4.60 base fare during the day, €5.60 at night and on Sundays and public holidays, plus €2.30 per kilometre for the first six kilometres and €1.90 after that. The pickup itself costs nothing.

Small animals in a carrier travel free of charge. For a larger dog, a brief mention when booking is all we need to send a suitable car.

If the animal clinic lies outside the compulsory service area (Pflichtfahrgebiet), we work with a fixed price you see before booking. All destinations are on our fixed prices page or right in the booking form.
