How early do you need to leave?

Cuxhaven lies where the Elbe meets the North Sea, and that is exactly why the journey by rail drags: regional trains, changes, and at the end of it the last stretch to your beach hotel in Duhnen or Döse is still missing.
We drive the 137.6 kilometres in one go and stop next outside your accommodation. Also at the ferry pier, if you are going on from there by boat to Heligoland: tell us the departure time and we work backwards from it.
Allow a good two hours on the road. That is an honest figure that includes the country roads; anyone promising you 90 minutes here has not driven the route.

Around the clock, seven days a week, for the same fixed price. There are no night, weekend or holiday surcharges on these routes.
Where exactly do we meet the driver?
At the address you give when you book: your front door, the hotel reception, the station forecourt or the terminal. On request the driver calls shortly before arriving.
What if we are ready earlier or later?
Let us know as soon as you do. Small shifts we absorb in the planning; for larger ones we find a new pick-up time together.
Do you drive as far as Duhnen, Döse or Sahlenburg?
Yes, those districts belong to Cuxhaven and fall under the same fixed price of 200.00 €. Simply enter the address of your accommodation.
Can I make the boat to Heligoland from the airport?
That depends on your landing time. Tell us your flight and the boat's departure time and we will tell you honestly whether it works. For tight connections we plan the pick-up right at the baggage belt.
