From the terminal to your front door

Between Hamburg Airport and Lübeck lie 76.6 kilometres, about 65 minutes with a clear road. We meet you in the arrivals hall with a sign showing your name, carry your bags to the car and drive you through to your destination address.

The price of 145.00 € is for the whole car, not per person. Nothing is added to it afterwards, not at night, not at the weekend, not on a public holiday and not for suitcases. You see the amount before you book and it stays that way.

One price for Lübeck, the old town and Travemünde

Lübeck is two destinations in one: the old town with the Holstentor, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1987, and twenty kilometres further on the Skandinavienkai in Travemünde, where the TT-Line and Finnlines ferries leave for Sweden and Finland.

We charge one amount for the whole municipality: 145.00 €, whether you are going to the main station, into the old town or all the way to the Skandinavienkai. The quay is the longest run and it carries the price; if you only want the city, you pay not a cent more than shown.

If the ferry is your destination, tell us the departure time when you book. Check-in closes earlier or later depending on the line; we work backwards from it and collect you so that you board without rushing.

If your flight is late

We follow your flight number. The driver comes for the time you actually land, not the time on the schedule, and 60 minutes of waiting after landing are part of the fixed price, so you can take the baggage hall at your own pace.

If your flight lands a good deal later, we still drive. A bus or train ticket is worthless by then; a booked car is not.

You book with the driver, not with a middleman

We are a licensed taxi firm in Neumünster, with our own cars and a German phone number that somebody answers. So you book with the company that does the driving.

The big transfer portals are middlemen: they sell your journey and then pass it on to a local firm, with a mark-up that starts at double depending on the portal. We know this first hand, because those requests land in our inbox every day.

With us the amount is settled before you book and does not move afterwards.

Frequently asked questions

How long does the drive from Hamburg Airport to Lübeck take?

About 65 minutes for 76.6 kilometres. The rush hour or a queue at the Elbe tunnel can make it longer; we allow for that and keep an eye on your landing time.

What does a taxi from Hamburg Airport to Lübeck cost?

145.00 € as a fixed price for the whole car with up to four people, 160.00 € for the minibus with up to eight. The price is the same in both directions and covers luggage, waiting time and every surcharge.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

We follow your flight number and come for the time you actually land, not the time on the schedule. 60 minutes of waiting after landing are part of the fixed price. Your booking does not lapse, unlike a bus or train ticket.

How many people and cases fit in the car?

A saloon car takes four people with four cases. With big holiday luggage that gets tight: enter five people on the booking form and you get a minibus for 160.00 €.

Can I pay in the taxi?

Yes. You can pay online with PayPal, card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, or in cash or by card with the driver. The price is the same either way.

Can I cancel free of charge?

Yes, free of charge up to 24 hours before the journey.

Do you drive at night and at the weekend?

Around the clock, seven days a week, for the same fixed price. There are no night, weekend or holiday surcharges on these routes.

Do you drive all the way to the Skandinavienkai in Travemünde?

Yes, right up to the ferry terminal, at the same fixed price of 145.00 € as into central Lübeck. Tell us your ferry line and departure time when you book and we plan the pick-up to match.

Why does the old town cost the same as Travemünde when it is closer?

Because one amount for the whole municipality is more honest than three amounts a few euros apart. The longest run, the Skandinavienkai at 95 kilometres, sets the price; everything before it is covered by the same fixed price.
