From Kiel to your departure gate
From Norwegenkai Kiel to Hamburg Airport is 91.7 kilometres and about 64 minutes. We are waiting when you come off, and we drive you right up to your terminal.
The fixed price is the same as in the other direction: 150.00 € for up to four people, 165.00 € for the minibus. Here too it is a price for the car and not per person.
How early can you book a flight?
If you are coming off a ship, most lines start letting passengers ashore around seven in the morning and everyone is off by nine. With about 64 minutes on the road plus some slack for the Elbe tunnel, a flight from late morning onwards is comfortable.
Reckon on being at the terminal two hours before departure and you get through without rushing. We know the road, and when you book we tell you which pick-up time suits your flight.
Book before you travel if you can. On arrival day everybody is on the quay at once, and a car that is already reserved is the difference between driving off and waiting.
The Norwegenkai is not a cruise berth
This is where the Color Line ties up on its run to Oslo, seven times a week, right through the year. It works differently from the Ostseekai: no season, no coach laid on by the operator, and most travellers turn up in their own car.
That is exactly what makes the Norwegenkai awkward if you fly in. Search from Hamburg and you mostly find offers for the cruise port, while the KIELIUS airport coach only runs as far as the bus station in town. From there it is another two kilometres with your bags.
Your ticket says when check-in closes, and that differs from sailing to sailing. Tell us your departure time and we work backwards from it and collect you early enough.

Coach or taxi? The honest sum
Buses run back the other way too. On your own with hand luggage they are cheaper. Standing on the quay with suitcases and a flight to catch is a different sum.
